Food For Every Occasion
I started my cooking journey by learning from my mother, who was kept her food miles low with fresh vegetables from the garden and plenty of home reared Cotswold lamb. After university, I spent three winters as a chalet girl in France and America, before returning home to the corporate world. Marriage and babies brought me back to the Cotswolds, where my love of cooking for others was reignited, ultimately leading to The Travelling Kitchen.
At the heart of what we do here are the skills I learned from my mother; to cook from scratch, using great quality seasonal ingredients and let the conversation and the guests be the stars.
I am currently studying a Masters in Nutrition and Food Science at Reading University, which will lead to a qualification as a Registered Nutritionist in 2022.
An annual Christmas drinks party that the hostess had self catered for many years. We supplied canapes and staff allowing her to finally move away from the AGA and socialise with her guests. All this was done while keeping an eye on a horse with suspected colic - that's multitasking!
Cooking seasonal lunches aligned with Ayurvedic principles for a series of workshops over the course of the year. Lunches are cooked in my kitchen and delivered at mealtimes. The menus are plant based, sometimes foraged, and include healthy vegan and gluten free cakes - yum!!
Relaxed family reunion
A long overdue family reunion of three generations from all over the world. We supplied a cold buffet of baked ham, local bread and cheeses alongside vibrant salads. After an afternoon of high energy games (on their part) there was tea with homemade cake, scones and cream.
